State-of-the-art £1.7m scanner will 'improve healthcare for south Warwickshire residents'

A STATE-of-the-art MRI scanner has been delivered to Warwick Hospital.

The £1.7million scanner upgrades the previous facilities and provides improved image quality for south Warwickshire residents.

The new scanner will be housed in the current unit, with a temporary mobile MRI service within Car Park C during installation.

The first patients will be using the new MRI scanner next month.

Director of development Sophie Gilkes said: “With increasing demand for diagnostics I am delighted we have been able to invest in a new MRI scanner and improve the service we can offer. It is a challenging time in the NHS at the moment, so positive developments like this are fantastic and will support the timely delivery of healthcare in the future.”
