Stepping out in support of young people who have lost a parent

IT will be best foot forward for a fund-raising walk in support of young people who have lost a parent.

The charity It’s Time was set up during the pandemic by a team including three trustees from Warwick and Leamington, to support 16 to 30-year-olds who experience the death of a parent.

The walk, on Sunday September 5, is 15 miles or 15km – representing the 15 per cent of the UK population that will sadly lose a parent by the age of 30.

Participants can choose to take part anywhere and at any time on the day.

All ticket sales and donations will go directly to providing services for young adults.

This includes online courses to help young adults process parental loss, a peer mentoring programme and group therapy sessions.

Funding also pays for bereavement guides for schools, colleges, universities and employers, as well as interventions with vulnerable young adults.

Tickets for the walk are £15, or donate directly at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/donation-web/charity?charityId=1020789&stop_mobi=yes
