A PHYSIOTHERAPIST based at Stoneleigh Park is supporting Team GB at the World Games.

Louise Curley, who runs Rejuven8 Physiotherapy Clinic, has travelled with the gymnastics team as the their physiotherapist for the Games in Poland.

The World Games take place in Wroclaw until July 30 and will be the tenth games. They are held every four years in the year following the Olympic Games.

Louise will be on hand to treat existing issues and look after any injuries sustained at the games.

And it’s not her first time at the event – she has even travelled all over the world supporting gymnasts in competitions.

She said: “It is a privilege to be selected for such a high-profile event and to be working with Britain’s finest gymnasts.

“I have been fortunate enough to have worked as a physio for British Gymnastics at multiple European and world championships previously and I am excited to return to the World Games which is a multi-sport event and has an electric atmosphere.

“I will miss being away from my practice, but travelling with British Gymnastics offers an array of challenges and the opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s finest physiotherapists.

“British Gymnastics as a whole is going from strength to strength and it is a very talented team that is travelling to the World Games. I wish all athletes the very best of luck and hope they all perform to their best.”

This year’s World Games will involve a total of more than 30 sporting disciplines ranging from water, aerial and team sports.
