STORM Eunice blew through Warwickshire on Friday but the county escaped the worst of her wrath.
While some part of the country experienced winds in excess of 100mph – and in the case of the Isle of Wight a report record 122mph – Warwickshire was only whipped by strong gales.
But it was enough to bring down a number of trees and branches – together with a few fences.
There was also travel disruption. Most rail services were cancelled and roads were littered with debris.
