FIREFIGHTERS say it was a ‘miracle’ no one was seriously hurt after winds caused a sign to blow down and a building to partially collapse in Kenilworth.
At around noon on Sunday (January 27) one of the metal fittings holding a banner – which was strung across Warwick Road – fell down, causing brickwork to crumble to the street.
A pedestrian had a cut to their arm but after being treated by paramedics needed no hospital treatment.
Firefighters removed the rest of the loose brickwork and the council erected barriers on the pavement around the affected area.
