Suit of armour among items left behind at hotels in Warwickshire

A SUIT of armour was among the items left behind at a Warwickshire hotel chain last year.

It was found at Travelodge in Stratford and was among many items guests forgot to take with them following stays at the chain’s six Warwickshire hotels during 2022.

Other possessions left included a prenuptial agreement at The Regent Hotel in Leamington and deeds to a villa in Cyprus at the Rugby Dunchurch Travelodge

At Rugby Central Travelodge the staff found a large jewelled chest full of Indian sweets that a bridesmaid had forgotten to take to her best friend’s wedding. Luckily the wedding coach stopped off at the Travelodge on their way back to Glasgow to pick up the sweet treasure chest.

Travelodge spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: “We do get a range of interesting items left behind.

“Interestingly the 2022 lost and found audit also revealed that we are a nation striving for a healthy lifestyle as we have seen a significant rise in smart watches being left behind in our Travelodge hotels during the last 12 months.”
