Summer fun to be had in Leamington with busy season of festivals

IT’S hotting up in Leamington as the town hosts a Brazilian fiesta to kick-start a ‘Summer of Fun’.

The Pump Rooms will host a free Brazilian Festival on Sunday (June 9) including live music, dancing and workshops showcasing South American culture.

It will mark the end of Brazilian Culture Week, which was first brought to the town in 2016 by the Brazil Culture and Arts Community.

The festival leads the way for Leamington Peace Festival the following weekend and classic car rally Cars at the Spa on June 30.

The gardens will also host Leamington Carnival on Saturday July 13 and Warwickshire Pride on Saturday August 17.

Alison Shaw, project manager at BID Leamington, said: “This year’s Summer of Fun is set to be the biggest and best ever with new festivals being added to the programme.

“Together they attract tens of thousands of local people and visitors to the town centre, and offer something for everyone with a broad celebration of art, culture, food, drink, and entertainment.”
