Sunshine brought to school assembly

A LITTLE sunshine was brought to a Warwick Primary School assembly.

President elect of Warwick Rotary, Keith Talbot, presented Westgate Primary School headmaster Matthew Watson with a sunflower.

Rotarian Margaret Morley said:“Schools nurture our young people and help them to grow, we hope the plants we present to them represents this. Sunflowers just radiate sunshine and hope for the future.”

The children were also given sunflower seeds to be planted in their Peace Garden – particularly apt as the sunflower is the National Flower of the Ukraine.

Mr Watson said the gift was greatly appreciated and the reception class wasted no time and had already planted the seeds.
