SUPERHEROES and princesses put their best foot forward for Whitnash Primary’s annual sponsored walk.
New mayor Tony Heath started the proceedings and the PTA team kept pupils supplied with water and ice pops to keep them cool on what was the hottest day of the year.
All the teachers joined in the fun and dressed up along with pupils.
Cinderella aka headteacher Donna Ellison) said: “This is one of our favourite events of the year, everyone is involved and there is always such a lovely atmosphere. Older children often help the younger ones around and at the end everyone receives a medal and a certificate.
At a time when school budgets are being so tightly squeezed, the extra money raised by PTA events such as this is so very valued and appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has supported us. You’re all heroes!”
