COVID prevented families of GB archers flying to Tokyo so they showed their support at Warwick Castle instead.
To mark the archery events at the Olympics, friends and families of GB Olympians met up at the historic landmark which has seen its fair share of arrows fired down the centuries.
Four of the six archers who competed in Tokyo for Great Britain have strong Midlands connections, including Leamington’s Naomi Folkard and Tom Hall who lives in Kenilworth.
They were team-mates of Sarah Bettles and Patrick Huston who both now live in Telford.
Tom and Patrick’s friends and family went along to the castle accompanied by Archery GB’s CEO Neil Armitage and were welcomed by Warwick Castle’s Divisional Director Nick Blofeld and the castle’s resident bowman Lewis Copson.
