TEACHERS have taken matters into their own hands and pulled on their running shoes to raise money for their school.

Staff at Ridgeway School in Warwick have taken on the Wolf Run to fund new outdoor play equipment for the children to enjoy.

A total of 28 staff braved the 10km muddy obstacle course, which they have been training for after school by holding running and fitness sessions.

Teacher Samantha Morle said: “Our pupils love being outdoors and what better way to enrich their outdoor learning experiences than by raising money while having our very own ‘outdoor learning experience’.

“Giving ourselves the goal of tackling The Wolf Run in aid of our school provided the motivation for us to improve our own health & fitness, while supporting that of the children we work with.

“The pupils at our school were involved with the event by customising our team t-shirts for us, so we always had them in mind as we face each challenge throughout the run.”
