A TEENAGE girl was harassed by a stranger as she walked along a road in Leamington.

The 17-year-old was on Chesterton Drive near the Grist Mill pub around 3pm on Friday (October 9) when a man pulled up alongside her in a black BMW.

He made lewd comments and asked her to get in his car but she refused.

Another car then pulled up behind and distracted him while the victim crossed the street and walked down another road.

She then cut through a park but when she reached the other side the driver was waiting for her and began harassing her again.

Although she was not hurt, the teenager was left shaken by the incident.

The man is described as in his late 40s, with black hair, of slim build and a slight Birmingham accent.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101.
