WIMBLEDON ace Marcus Willis will highlight an afternoon of sport at Warwick Boat Club.
Sunday (June 4) will be the first of many regular open afternoons – giving people the chance to try a range of different sports, including tennis, squash, bowls and rowing.
From 2.30pm professional coaches will be on hand to demonstrate different sports.
Families and individuals from the age of four are all welcome with equipment provided.
The first session is free.
Organiser Graham Kensett said: “We are so lucky to have these great facilities in a stunning setting plus excellent coaches that we wanted to give everyone the chance to try them.
“We’ve got quite a number of adult beginners – mums and dads who’ve brought their kids along to try tennis but have then decided they’d like to start playing themselves or go back to it years after they last picked up a racket at school. Squash is great for fitness too and quite young children can enjoy it. Many youngsters as well as adults enjoy the challenge and precision of bowls so this is also on offer and we’re really hoping lots of people will come along to try something new.”
