THE NATIONAL Gardens Scheme will mark its 90th birthday with afternoon tea in Leamington.
NGS chief executive George Plumptre has chosen – from among the 52 constituent NGS counties – to celebrate the landmark anniversary with an Afternoon Tea & Prosecco Party, including classical music, in the grounds of the Mallory Court Hotel.
Sweeping lawns, rose gardens and a croquet ground will greet visitors to the Harbury Lane hotel on Bank Holiday Monday (May 29).
The event – raising money for cancer charities, runs from 2pm to 6pm, and admission is £5 (children free).
