Time to go flipping crazy at Warwick Pancake Races

Leamington Editorial 21st Feb, 2020 Updated: 21st Feb, 2020   0

PANCAKE Race traditions will not fall flat in Warwick where Rotarians are concerned.

Warwick Rotary Club is urging teams to join the race in Market Square on Tuesday (February 25) along with schoolchildren from across the district.

The children’s races will begin at 1.30pm with encouragement from town mayor Coun Neale Murphy.

‘Grown ups’ and businesses are also invited to join a race at 1pm, in teams of four, with prizes to be won and trophies for winning teams.

Coffee and pancakes will be on hand for spectators and runners in need of replenishment.

Rotary club organiser Jackie Crampton said: “This is a nice way to keep a tradition alive. We are hoping for a nice spring day after all the recent storms. Warwick Rotarians are out in force to marshall the event and this is one of the events we arrange for the local community.”

There is a £10 entry fee per team.
