Timid tabby reunited with owner after handing herself in to police

A TIMID tabby has been reunited with her owner after handing herself in to police in Warwick.

Officers from Warwick’s Safer Neighbourhood Team arrived on duty to find Cookie sheltering in the doorway.

Coincidentally Sgt Chris Kitson had chatted to a driver the day before who had mentioned he and his partner were worried about their missing cat.

Putting two and two together, they called round to the owner’s house to see if the feline visitor, now taken into custody, might be her beloved pet.

And Cookie’s owner Anneke was more than happy to take part in an ‘identification procedure’ at the station before the pair were reunited.
