TRAIN users across south Warwickshire are being invited to have their say at the Shakespeare Line Rail User Group AGM.
The rail group’s annual general meeting takes place on Wednesday (September 20) and members of the public are invited to come along.
They will be able to hear speakers from both the operator of train services between Birmingham and Stratford, West Midlands Trains Ltd and also the local transport organisation that oversees rail passenger services in the West Midlands, the West Midlands Rail Executive.
Time has also been put aside for questions and to enable discussion with all present.
Chair of SLRUG Peter Morris said: “There has been continuing disquiet with train service unreliability, and much of it has been down to industrial action by the trade unions, but there are other issues too, not least the ticket office closure plans that affect several stations along our line as they do most of the UK.
“We continue to work with the train operators and represent passengers’ views, so we must take this opportunity with those attending to have an open and productive discussion and engagement. I encourage all who use the train to come along so we, the train operator and executive, can hear your views.”
The AGM is being held at the Memorial Hall in Station Road, Henley at 7.30pm.
