Travellers move on from Chase Meadow - but leave rubbish

TRAVELLERS have moved on from land at Chase Meadow leaving landowners with a ‘huge mess’.

Nearly ten caravans pitched up on Tapping Way on Friday night (July 14) but by Monday they were leaving following an eviction notice.

Taylor Wimpey, which owns the land, has arranged for a clean-up to take place.

Disgruntled residents posted images of the mess on social media and say it was ‘substantial’.

One even warned others who may be walking on the site to avoid the wooded area as it had been used as a toilet.

Members of Chase Meadow Residents’ Association have now requested a meeting with Warwickshire County Council and Taylor Wimpey to see what can be done to prevent further encampments.
