THE FAMILY of a popular Whitnash teenager who died after being hit by a car in Leamington have paid tribute to him.

Kieran Long was walking along Old Warwick Road near to Morrisons supermarket around 8.40pm on Saturday (February 6) when a black Audi S4 estate crashed into him.

Emergency services were called after the 15-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest and he was taken to Warwick Hospital by ambulance.

He was later transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital but died in the early hours of Sunday morning (February 7).

A statement released by his family said: “Kieran was a fun loving, outgoing boy with a passion for music. He had many friends and interests that he followed wholeheartedly.

“He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and everybody whose lives he touched.”

The family have asked for privacy so they can come to terms with their loss.

Police would like still to hear from those who witnessed the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
