SCHOOL dinners at Arnold Lodge in Leamington means healthy eating.
The old school dinners days of lumpy mash and stodgy puds would mean nothing to pupils at the Kenilworth Road school where they are served freshly prepared hot meals, salads and baguettes.
A school spokesperson said: ‘Good food prepared in-house helps concentration, reduces hyperactivity and enhances overall well-being. If we can cut down on sugar, colouring and preservatives it has to be beneficial for our children.
“If the UK’s serious about fighting obesity – the trigger for so many other illnesses – it must be recognised at an early age. We want to lead the way.”
