Two men arrested after man dies following assault outside Leamington nightclub

TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following an assault outside a Leamington nightclub at the weekend.

An altercation is believed to have taken place between two groups in front of Moo Bar on Russell Street around 1am on Sunday (April 10).

At 1.20am, a man in his 20s was then assaultedĀ on Russell Street and sustained serious head injuries.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he later died.

The victim has not yet been named by police but specialist officers are understood to be supporting the family at this time.

Two 30-year-old men, both from Birmingham, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.

Police would like to speak to people who may have witnessed the incident.
