Two more ambulances safely delivered from Leamington to Ukraine

TWO more ambulances have been safely delivered from Leamington to Ukraine.

Ambulances 66 and 67 were made possible thanks to Belvede CICr, with the support of Warwick Rotary Club,, Warwickshire Freemasons, Gursewak Trust and LKQ Euro Car Parts.

Both ambulances were loaded with practical aid for distribution by the Sisters of St Joseph to people in need, including those at Internally Displaced Person Centres and dysfunctional families. Items included wheelchairs, Easter eggs, 500 containers of spring sweets, boys’ clothing donated by Chez Rama, ladies’ and men’s clothing from various donors, hot water bottles with hand-knitted covers, several boxes of toys, as well as towels, bed linen, duvets and sleeping bags. The vehicles also carried handmade items collected by Helen’s Wool & Cotton Crafts.

They were handed over in Leżajsk, Poland, from where they will continue onward to support people in need in Ukraine.

Dawid Kozlowski of Belveder said:“These ambulances carried not only practical support, but also a message that the people of Ukraine are not forgotten.”
