LEAMINGTON may be the happiest place in the UK but two of its Warwickshire neighbours are apparently better places to live.
Both Stratford-upon-Avon (10th) and Rugby (20th) feature in the the annual Halifax quality of life study which looked at a range of factors including health, earnings, crime rates and life expectancy.
But Leamington, which was named happiest place in October in a RightMove survey – which asked people to rate where they live for factors such as community spirit, feeling safe, friendliness, amenities and the cost of living – failed to find a place in the top 20.
Hart in Hampshire topped the list, followed by the Orkney Islands, with Rutland in the East Midlands third.
