Upper Lighthorne staff don their festive knits for charity

FESTIVE woollies were donned at offices in Upper Lighthorne in the name of charity.

Sales advisers from home builders David Wilson Homes and Barratt Homes West Midlands pulled on their knits to celebrate Christmas Jumper Day, with all the cash raised going to Save the Children.

The day sees millions of people up and down the country coming together at their workplace, school, or with friends to make the world better with a sweater.

And at Barratt and David Wilson Homes, £1,000 was raised for the charity.

Adrian Evans from Barratt Homes said: “We’re very proud of our colleagues and the charity work they are doing. The festive period is a time to think of others and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to take part in Christmas Jumper Day.”

Dominic Harman from David Wilson Homes added: “We pride ourselves on looking after our local communities and supporting charities within it. The work of Save the Children is admirable and we’re delighted to have supported the campaign.”
