Visitors invited to make their mark at Coughton Court

VISITORS to Coughton Court will certainly be able to make their mark.

The National Trust property near Alcester is holding a tile event on Sunday (December 17) as part of its Through the Roof project.

In exchange for a £20 donation, visitors can write a personalised message on one of the recycled tiles from the roof.

Once the tiles have been signed with these messages, they will then be reinstated on the roof for years to come.

Visitors can book into various 20 minute slots running throughout the day from 11am until 3pm.

There will be more tile signing events at the start of 2024.

Through the Roof is a £3.3million project to restore, repair and improve both the roof and building façade. This multiple year project began in September and will run until 2025 seeing key sections of the roof restored, essential repairs and improvements taking place across the fabric of the property.

This is the biggest conservation investment by the National Trust at Coughton Court to date, with the project being funded by the charity’s members, supporters and donors, with grant funding donated by The Wolfson Foundation.
