VOLUNTEER numbers at Warwick District Citizens Advice have been boosted following a recruitment drive.
Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (WCAVA) kicked off the year by encouraging people to sign up to their online recruitment service which has now seen a dozen new volunteers start helping at Citizens Advice.
Volunteer coordinator for WCAVA Helen Wilkinson said: “Just by being out in the community gave us the chance to speak to lots of people about volunteering.
“We were heartened by the level of passion people had about wanting to help a good cause or give something back.
“Around 40 new people registered their profiles onto our matching site. This enabled Citizens Advice and other community organisations to identify suitable new recruits.”
