Warwick cannabis farmer jailed for 22 months

A CANNABIS farmer who claims to have woken up inside a grow has been jailed for 22 months.

Tonin Pashollari was sentenced to 22 months in prison on Monday October 9 for cultivating cannabis following the discovery of a cannabis farm he had been tending in Sycamore Grove, Warwick.

He will also be required to pay a £187 surcharge.

Pashollari claimed in interview that he had got blackout drunk the night before his arrest on September 5.

He says he woke up at the cannabis grow, that he claimed had nothing to do with him, when officers from Warwickshire Police put the back door through.

A total of 48 plants were found inside the property, at approximately 100cm in height.

They had not yet commenced flowering.

Two bedrooms and the living room had been converted into growing space for cannabis, with numerous high-intensity lights, buckets of plant feed, and fans with carbon filters keeping the air from going stale.

The electrics had been bypassed, and an electrician had to be called out to make the house safe again.

PC MacDonald of Warwick SNT said: “Another day, another grow, another dent in the financial powerhouse of organised crime that is cannabis production, and another community that we’ve made just that bit safer.

“In short – we’re very happy with the result, and we thank the community for their support in identifying the property.

“They’re sick of the crime that these farms bring to their doorsteps, and so are we.”
