A REVERSE charity Advent calendar has been launched in the district to gather much-needed donations.
LWS Night Shelter is looking for individuals, businesses, schools and groups to take part in their annual Reverse Advent Calendar Appeal.
The charity supports homeless and vulnerably-housed local people by providing hot meals and food parcels, and are aiming to reopen for overnight stays in the near future.
Every day from December 1 to 24, they will be posting an item they need on their social media. The item can then be added to a box and donated at the end of the month. It is just like an Advent Calendar, but instead of getting something every day, people donate something instead.
