Warwick district one of healthiest places in the country

PEOPLE in Warwick district are some of the healthiest in the country.

A nationwide study placed Warwick as the 33rd healthiest district in the UK.

Babylon Health collected data from over 38,000 users of its Healthcheck app across the UK. It assigned an overall score out of 100 to 308 local authority districts based on nine indicators of a healthy lifestyle. The higher the score, the healthier the place.

Factors included diet, including amount of alcohol consumed and fruit and veg eaten, how many residents smoked, and the amount and type of exercise taken.




Warwick district scored 65.2. The healthiest people lived in the Forest of Dean which had an overall score of 74.5, followed by Chichester (74.1), Brentwood (71.8), City of London (71.6) and Guildford (71.2).

Neighbouring Stratford district came in sixth with a score of 70.1 and was the only midlands district in the top ten.


Elsewhere in Warwickshire Nuneaton and Bedworth was placed a lowly 248th with a score of just46. Data was not available for the respective districts of Rugby and North Warwickshire.
