YOUNG hockey players in Warwick got some tips from the very top.
England captain Alex Danson visited St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre to give a hockey masterclass.
Alex, who lead the England’s women’s team to Olympic gold at the Rio Games in 2016, coached youngsters and gave an insight into what it takes to get to the top of the sport.
The masterclass formed part of Alex’s ongoing partnership with leisure operator Everyone Active to deliver the Alex Danson Hockey Academy, which aims to get 10,000 children more active by playing hockey over the next three years
Alex said: “Throughout my life I have had two passions, one is hockey and the other working with young people and encouraging them to be involved in sport.”
