VOLUNTEERS at the Air Ambulance Service charity shop were given a parliamentary helping hand.
MP Chris White took time out to roll up his sleeves at the Warwick Market Square shop as part of national volunteer’s week.
The Warwick and Leamington MP thanked volunteers for their hard work and also pitched in with keeping stock in order and serving customers.
As well as working in shops, air ambulance charity volunteers support admin staff, organise fundraising events, give talks on the charity’s work and organise donation collections.
The air ambulance receives no government funding and relies on the hard work of volunteers to keep it flying – each mission the helicopter flies costs £1,700.
