ORGANISERS of Warwick Pancake Races are hoping for better flipping weather next year.
This year’s race on Tuesday was cancelled completely due to the cold and the rain, and 12 months ago the weather also played havoc with the popular annual event run by the Rotary Club of Warwick.
Rotary spokeswoman Jackie Crampton said: “We want the races to be safe and fun, and the day looked miserable. We try to keep traditions alive and this is one of the events we arrange for the local community.
“Next year’s races will be on March 5 – some three weeks later when hopefully we can expect warmer weather.”
