Warwick youngster has the chop for charity

A SCHOOLGIRL from Warwick is preparing to have her long locks cut off to help sick youngsters.

Kacey-Mae Betteridge is fundraising for the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their own hair following cancer treatment.

The seven year-old said she was lucky to be healthy and wanted to help those who were poorly.

Kacey-Mae, who attends All Saints’ Junior School, had set a target of £200 but this was surpassed within ten hours of a justgiving page being set up.

When the haircut takes place on October 28, it will be her first proper haircut since she a year-old – although it is trimmed every eight weeks.

Her current long locks will be replaced by a shoulder length cut.
