PLANS to build student halls of residence at Warwickshire College’s Leamington Campus have been given the green light.
The 98-bedroom student block complete with car park will be constructed at the site on Warwick New Road. The building will be split over three storeys with bedrooms divided across 12 different flats.
Residents on the Warwick New Road and nearby Copps Road had argued the flats would be too near to their homes and lead to increased noise and traffic congestion.
But despite the objections, Warwick District Council planning committee gave the application the go ahead.
