RESIDENTS from Warwickshire are among those named in The New Year Honours List – the first to be signed off by King Charles.
In total, 1,107 people were on the main list unveiled by the Cabinet Office – honoured for
their dedicated public service.
There were also honours recognising overseas contributions, together with lists for police, fire and ambulance staff and for the military.
Those from Warwickshire honoured include:
Prof Robert Dover, from Leamington, chairman of the Advanced Propulsion Centre, awarded a CBE for services to the automotive industry
Jessica Hudson, from Berkswell, made an MBE for services to the community in Coventry
Aston Moore, from Rugby, a coach for British Athletics, made an MBE for services to athletics
Ian Hares, from Kenilworth, former CEO of UK Asset Resolution, made an OBE for services to the financial sector
Joanne Amy Horne, from Stratford, awarded a BEM for services to the community in her home town
Robert Johnston, from Coventry, the technical services manager at the University of Warwick, awarded a BEM for services to physics
