SHAKESPEARE is being brought to the stage at breakneck speed to bank cash for a Leamington charity.
60 Hour Shakespeare will be rehearsing for just three days before putting on their play Queen Margaret; The War of the Roses at Jephson Gardens in Leamington in aid of Helping Hands Community Project.
The theatre troop wanted to recreate the limited rehearsal time available to Shakespeare’s actors, with the final open air performance combining Queen Margaret’s scenes from Henry VI parts one, two and three to tell her story.
The production takes to the stage at 6pm on Monday (August 28) and will last two hours with no interval.
All proceeds of ticket sales will be donated to Helping Hands.
