WILDLIFE experts are calling on people to support nature’s recovery.
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, along with Warwick and Coventry universities and the National Union of Students, is hosting a free event focusing on the effect our daily lives are having on the natural world – from plastic and litter to pesticides and pollution.
The question time style event includes conservationists, politicians, academics and students discussing the state of the natural environment and how people can make a change.
Trust chief executive Ed Green said: “Government is working on the first new environment bill in over 20 years, which will create a legal framework for their promise to leave the environment in a better state over the next 25. Our local universities and the NUS are working with us to give students and the public their say in this once in a generation opportunity, and set us on a path to restoring nature and securing a wilder future for us all.”
The event is being held at Warwick University tomorrow (Thursday) from 6.45pm to 9pm.
