ARTISTS Nicola Durrant and Wendy Campbell-Briggs have been named joint winners of Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum’s OPEN 2017 exhibition
Nicola won for her mixed-media work Storm Clouds Approaching, and Wendy with her ceramic sculpture Lacrimae Rerum VIII (Tears of Things).
The two artists were each presented with a £500 award and will be invited to hold a talk this season.
The winners and all works on display were selected by a panel of arts professionals including last year’s People’s Choice winner, Katharine Barker.
This year’s exhibition showcases artworks in a range of media, including ceramics, charcoal, digital print among others.
