GOOD Samaritans who tried to stop an argument in Leamington ended up being attacked.

Two men saw a man and a woman arguing in Christchurch Gardens off Clarendon Avenue around 4.30am on Saturday March 19.

When they tried to intervene, the man who had been arguing punched one victim to the face, knocking him out, and landed a glancing blow on the other’s neck.

The man who was punched suffered slight facial injuries and a suspected concussion.

The attacker was of mixed race, aged in his early 20s, 6ft tall and of skinny build. He ran off from the park in the direction of Lillington.

The woman involved was white, in her early 20s, with dark hair. She remained to help the victim after he was knocked unconscious but disappeared before police arrived.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident. Call 101 or information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via the website.
