Woman sexually assaulted in Warwick pub

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman was sexually assaulted in the toilets of a Warwick pub.

The incident took place around 11.40pm on Tuesday (May 26) at The Elephant and Castle pub on Emscote Road.

An unknown man entered the ladies toilets where he sexually assaulted the woman.

During the assault, the victim’s friend knocked on the door of the toilet and the woman then exited the bathroom before leaving the pub with her friend.




The man told the victim his name was ‘Jamie’, though this may not be his real name.

He is described as white, around 36-years-old, approximately 5ft 8in tall with a slight paunch, short, dark brown hair and stubble on his face.


At the time of the incident he was wearing a t-shirt, three quarter length trousers with trainers and socks.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the pub or who may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.
