Work well underway on new homes in Sydenham

WORK is well underway on building 15 new homes in Leamington.

The development at the former Sydenham Industrial Estate off Ramsey Road is expected to be completed by the autumn.

Warwick District Council gave the green light to the development in June and the first home is expected to be completed in September, on what will be known as Kingsbury Close.

Demolition on the site has already been completed and infrastructure work is now underway, with roads being created, drainage work taking place, foundations of the first homes being put in place and the initial brickwork having begun

The brownfield development is the final phase of the regeneration of the former Sydenham Industrial Estate, and will be accessed by Ramsey Road.

It will feature homes for sale for private ownership, including a mix of two and three bedroom properties, along with four homes for affordable social rent.

Eleanor Deeley, joint managing director of developer the Deeley Group, said: “This brownfield development continues our regeneration work on the Sydenham Industrial Estate, following the creation of 147 homes on the site of the former Soans’ motor dealership four years ago.
