A GUITAR-slinging Kenilworth schoolboy has spoken about his most ‘amazing experience’ yet – playing in a London theatre with pop-rockers McFly.

Crackley School pupil Toby Lee thought he was performing McFly hit ‘Five Colours in Her Hair’ on ITV show ‘Tonight at the London Palladium’, which aired earlier this month.

But the 11 year-old was left visibly shocked after being joined onstage by band members Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones.

Luckily the talented youngster took it in his stride and continued playing to the 2,200-strong audience.

Following his impressive performance Toby received a standing ovation and was described as ‘insanely talented’ by the band.

Toby told the Observer: “It was the most amazing experience I have had and at such an incredible theatre. I couldn’t believe it when McFly just appeared next to me, I don’t know how I carried on playing – it still feels like a dream.”

“McFly said I can meet them when they go on tour later in the year and I might be able to play with them again.”

Toby has become used to being in the limelight since he released a song dedicated to the now-late BB King. It went viral, being viewed more than five million times online.

He has also been praised by the likes of blues legend Joe Bonamassa and Old Grey Whistle Test host ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris.
