LEAMINGTON’s fine start to the National League North campaign continued over the Bank Holiday period after they picked up four points from two games.
Paul Holleran’s men enjoyed a 2-0 victory over bottom-of-the-table FC United of Manchester on Saturday, thanks to goals from Kieran Dunbar and Matt Stenson.
The Brakes then followed that up with a 2-2 draw at home to high-flying AFC Telford United.
Stenson had given Leamington a seventh-minute lead from the spot before Adam Dawson pulled the Bucks level 11 minutes before the break.
The visitors nosed themselves in front two minutes into the second half through Andre Brown but the hosts restored parity just past the hour mark, thanks to Jamie Hood.
Telford were then awarded a penalty after Brown was fouled by Callum Gittings.
However, Brakes keeper Tony Breeden pulled off a spectacular save to deny Brown and ensure the hosts came away with a well-earned point.
Leamington, who sit fifth in the table after seven games, make the trip to Stockport County on Saturday.
