Kelly Sibley will be preparing to take on European’s finest after being named in the England squad for the European Championships.

The 27-year-old Leamington player spearheads a four-strong women’s squad for the competition in Ekaterinburg, Russia from September 25 to October 4.

SIbley is joined by fellow Commonwealth Games competitors Tin-Tin Ho and Karina Le Fevre, alongside 18-year-old Maria Tsaptsinos, who gets a first senior call-up.

On the men’s side, the five who won Commonwealth Games team silver in Glasgow last year are reunited – Paul Drinkhall, Liam Pitchford, Andrew Baggaley, Sam Walker and Danny Reed.

Table Tennis England’s head of coaching and performance, Simon Mills, said: “I’m looking forward to getting the Commonwealth Games men’s team back together and seeing how they perform, and seeing Maria Tsaptsinos earn her first cap.”

England women just missed out on promotion in the 2014 Europeans.
