SPA Striders runner Ian Allen ran a club record time whilst several other athletes achieved personal best (PB) times in the Manchester Marathon.
Allen finished 15th overall in the Elite race in a time of 2 hours 17 minutes and 57 seconds (2:17:57) to set a PB and club record and also beat the previous course record.
And Neil Smith (2:28:52), Chris McKeown (2:35:05), John-Paul Hunt (2:50:54), Keith Wilson (2:57:08), Chris Wilson (2:59:26), Charlotte Everard (3:20:11) and Abi Morton (4:17:30) all achieved personal best times.
Other Striders to cross the line in Manchester were: Marco Frondella, Clare Hinton, Pete Teevan, Kat Robertson, Iain Roebuck, Jack Gammon and Billy Morton.
Closer to home, a number of Striders took on the 40-mile Coventry Way circular ultra race with Patrick Crummy (6 hours 17 mins), Jo Fleming and Steve French (8 hours 5 mins), Matt Walklett (8 hours 17 mins) and Andy Roach (8 hours 55 mins) all completing the course.
