WITH the marathon season on the horizon several Spa Striders runners took part in warm-up events across the country.
Kelsey Wiberley was the first lady home and seventh overall at the Silkin Way Ultra Marathon in Coalport, Shropshire with Anne-Claire Bennion the seventh lady to finish and 33rd overall.
Over in Cannock Chase, Sophie Daley finished the very tough and hilly Cannock Chase Trail Half Marathon in 2:43:36.
And Elaine Sherwin travelled to the British National Canicross Championships in Northumberland, with her dog Mike and won her age category, finishing as the second vet lady overall.
