SPA Striders runners defied the sweltering conditions to take on several events over the past week.
Clare Hinton ran superbly in the Solihull Half Marathon to place second in the V45 Ladies in 1 hour 36 minutes and 48 seconds.
Fellow Strider Kat Robertson returned from injury with a 1 hr 39 mins 10 secs run.
And Claudine Piper finished as the 11th V35 lady in 1 hr 55 mins 53 secs whilst Sandra Stokes was third in the V60 Ladies in 2 hr 07 mins 51 secs.
Elsewhere, in the 10k, Bill Teasdale was 10th Senior man in 42 mins 34 secs and was closely followed by Mark Robbins who was fifth in the V40 men’s in 44 mins 52 secs.
