SPA Striders athletes Rob Egan and Sue Cox were in action for Leamington Cycling and Athletics Club in the Midlands Veterans Track and Field League in Loughborough.
The league’s first fixture took place at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium in Loughborough as both athletes took part in the 2km race walk and finished in the same time of 13 minutes 54 seconds.
Egan also completed the 100m in 14 secs to place third whilst Cox was fourth in the W50 one-mile race in 7 mins 3 secs.
And the pair completed the fixture by running in the 400-metre relay as Egan placed third in the men’s race and Cox fourth in the ladies race.
Elsewhere, Fiona Ferguson raced in the Lake District as she took on the Lorton 10km and finished in a time of 49 mins 11 secs.
And Rosie Clark raced in the Red Kite challenge half marathon in Aberystwyth, Wales as she completed the run as training for her upcoming Exmoor ultra in June.
Lastly, Kevin Baskerville took part in the Hudayriat Triathlon in Abu Dhabi which was a super sprint triathlon as Baskerville placed second in his age category.
