SPA Striders athlete Pete Teevan became an Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star finisher last weekend.
Teevan travelled to Tokyo, Japan where he set a new personal best (PB) of 3 hours 13 minutes and 40 seconds to complete a journey which began in London back in 2008.
The Strider missed out his chance to race in New York in 2012 due to a hurricane but raced in the Big Apple the following year.
He then competed in Berlin in 2014, Boston in 2019 and Chicago in 2022 before he finally completed his sixth race in Tokyo in his fastest time yet.
Closer to home, a team of Strider ladies headed to the Jurassic Coast in Dorset to take on The Grizzly – a multi-terrain race across the East Devon coastline and countryside that took in 3,500ft.
Anne Hurrell (3:40:23), Clare Hinton (3:42:11) Claire Davidson (3:48:56), Emma Bish (3:49:18) and Kirsty Middleton (4:03:26) all completed the race.
Elsewhere, John-Paul Hunt stormed the Chester Ultra 50 Mile race to finish in 11th place in 8 hrs 1 min and 39 secs.
And a small group of Striders took on the Cambridge Half Marathon with Marco Frondella (1:19:52) first over the line followed by Patrick Crummy (1:20:40), Matt Leydon (1:32:07), Ruth Tennant (1:49:04), Gary Perkins (1:59:25) and Alex Blackledge (2:26:33).
Lastly, seven Striders raced in circles around Babbs Mill Nature Reserve in the March edition of the Centurion Grand Prix.
Adam Notley finished the five-mile route sixth overall in 28:52 whilst Kat Robertson was the second lady home in 33:32 followed closely by Jason Hemming (34:12), Paul Kirby (34:22), Shaun Martin (34:39), Lucy Walton (40:03) and Miriam Scullion (45:23).
