BOWLS - Lillington Bowling Club to hold free open day

LILLINGTON Bowling Club will open up its rinks for free as part of Bowls England’s Big Weekend on Sunday, May 26.

The club are based at Lime Avenue in Lillington and are inviting all to give the sport a try for free on their super green at the end of the month (May 26) from 10am until 4pm.

It is the fourth year the club has participated in the Bowls England initiative to try and encourage more people of all ages to try their hand at the sport, supported by the club’s experienced coaches.

All ages and abilities are welcome with tea and cakes provided and only flat shoes required.

Lillington are also running a tombola for a local charity.

The club’s president will also present a cheque to representatives of The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association based in Leamington Spa in the presence of users and their dogs as a result of the club’s sponsorship of the ‘Name a Puppy’ scheme.
